Texas has always experienced challenging weather fluctuations – winter ice storms, long periods of drought followed by flooding, and the ever-present summer heat. These weather patterns have intensified over the last few years. The Native Plant Society of Texas offers a look at landscapes that highlight the remarkable resilience of native plants. Christy Ten Eyck, founder of Ten Eyck Landscape Architects, will showcase her approach to creating adaptable landscapes, drawing on her latest native garden design for the Dallas-Fort Worth area

The Native Plant Society of Texas is a non-profit organization with a mission to promote conservation, research and utilization of native plants and plant habitats of Texas through education, outreach, and example. The organization includes both statewide programs and local chapters. Over 4,000 members and volunteers in 34 local chapters throughout the state participate in community work projects, plant surveys, workshops, landscaping projects, and demonstration gardens.
