POSITION TITLE: Web Developer

POSITION SUMMARY

The Full-Stack Web Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Wild Ones web properties and systems. Current tech environment includes WordPress multisite, hosted on a WHM/cPanel server, utilizing custom themes and plugins. This role supports organizational goals by building reliable, secure, and accessible web experiences; integrating third-party platforms (such as membership, donation, and email tools); and optimizing site performance, SEO, and user pathways to drive engagement and conversions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Fundamental Responsibilities

Full-Stack Web Application Development

Design, develop, and maintain Wild Ones web applications across front-end and back-end systems, delivering responsive interfaces, clean architecture, and reliable functionality across devices and browsers.

APIs, Integrations & Data Systems

Build and maintain APIs and integrations that connect Wild Ones web properties to third-party services (e.g., CRM/membership tools, donation platforms, email marketing, event registration), ensuring secure and dependable data flow. Design, query, and maintain databases that support core site functions (forms, accounts, donations, and event registrations), including data validation, storage, backups, and basic reporting needs.

Testing, Troubleshooting & Ongoing Maintenance

Test and monitor application health, troubleshoot incidents, and resolve bugs across the full stack (UI, server logic, and database). Conduct routine site audits, apply updates, and perform ongoing maintenance to keep systems stable, secure, and current.

Performance, SEO & Accessibility Optimization

Improve page speed and overall application performance, implement SEO best practices, and maintain accessibility compliance by using standards-based development and routinely reviewing site structure, metadata, and user experience.

Website Content Builds & Updates

Develop and publish new web pages, landing pages, and site updates that support Wild Ones programs, campaigns, events, and fundraising initiatives, ensuring a consistent design and brand experience across the site.

User Experience, Conversions & Site Compliance

Support key online actions—such as donation flows, forms, membership pathways, and email signups—by improving usability, reducing friction, and ensuring tools function correctly across devices and browsers. Ensure the website meets accessibility standards and follows security and privacy best practices by managing permissions, supporting backups, and aligning site changes with organizational data practices.

Collaboration, Documentation & Delivery

Partner with Marketing & Communications, Development, Programs, and external vendors/contractors to translate goals into technical solutions; maintain clear documentation; and communicate progress, timelines, risks, and release plans.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Web Development, Information Technology, or a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Administrative Assistant of Wild Ones will provide essential administrative and operational support to keep day-to-day functions running smoothly for the organization and the Wild Center. This role supports front-line guest, member & chapter service, accurate recordkeeping and payment processing, shipping and fulfillment, and coordination of facility and vendor needs. The Administrative Assistant plays a crucial role in delivering responsive, well-organized operations while reflecting Wild Ones values of respect, inclusive community, and action- and growth-oriented work.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Fundamental Responsibilities

Guest Services & Customer Support

Serve as the primary point of contact for visitors, chapters, and members by providing excellent customer service, triaging calls/voicemail/support tickets, and communicating with vendors as needed to support daily operations.

Data Entry / Member Profile Records

Process incoming mail and maintain accurate member and payment records, including applying payments to membership accounts, responding to membership questions, and handling remote deposits and occasional bank drop-offs.

Mailing, Shipping & Fulfillment

Manage inventory and fulfillment of member/chapter materials and organizational mailings, including packing and shipping (USPS/UPS/FedEx), maintaining shipping supplies, transporting shipments as needed, and coordinating donor/member mailings under direction of Development and Marketing & Communications.

Wild Center & Vendor Communication

Coordinate Wild Center facility and vendor needs by tracking and documenting maintenance priorities with the Wild Center Committee, scheduling and supporting contracted services, managing vendor access/appointments, conducting ground walks, completing the annual easement report, and participating in monthly Workdays and the Committee.

Event & Program Support

Support events, meetings, and training by assisting with registration/check-in, preparing materials and supplies, managing follow-up tasks, and providing additional support under direction of the Program Coordinator (SFE/SRA).

General Admin Support

Provide general administrative support by drafting and formatting documents, maintaining shared calendars/facility schedules, managing office supplies, and assisting staff with administrative tasks and other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

3-5 years’ experience providing administrative support in a professional office setting, including clerical and coordination tasks.
