About:
Amanda Glassco is a conservation and environmental education professional based in Baltimore, Maryland. She serves as the Community Conservation Manager at NeighborSpace of Baltimore County, where she leads habitat restoration, public engagement, and capacity-building initiatives for the nonprofit land trust. Previously, Amanda taught environmental science for 12 years in Chicago and Baltimore. With experience spanning conservation, education, and nonprofit leadership, she brings a deep commitment to native landscaping, ecological restoration, and community-driven stewardship. Amanda also serves as treasurer for the Maryland Bird Conservation Partnership and as a volunteer grant writer for Homegrown National Park. She stewards her family’s working farm and forest in Western Maryland and lives in Baltimore with her wife, two children, and many plants.
What inspired you to become involved with Wild Ones:
Amanda was inspired to join Wild Ones to connect with others who share her interest in restoring native ecosystems and working with youth and communities to take part in local conservation efforts.
